Introduction
The Corvinus Student Union is the official representative body of students at Corvinus University of Budapest. At HÖK, we deal with many aspects of university life: we help with academic matters, negotiate with university leadership, organize daytime and evening events, assist international students, and coordinate student organization and college life. We are present everywhere, but our goal remains constant: to ensure a high-quality university life both professionally and socially for Corvinus students, where independence is a core value!
Under the Vice President for Representation, the Education Department, Student Organization and College Department, International Department, and Student Social Committee operate. Under the Vice President for Management, the Communication Department, Finance Department, Event Organization Department, and HR Department work.

Scholarship information
Corvinus Scholarship
The Corvinus scholarship recognizes students who achieve the most outstanding academic results.
Requirements:
- Participation in full-time studies
- Exceptional academic results (typically the best students of the program)
- Automatic award based on program ranking
- Additional specific requirements may vary by program
Important information:
The number and proportion of Corvinus scholarship places vary by program. Scholarship recipients are automatically placed at the top of the ranking based on their academic performance.
Academic Scholarship
Academic scholarship is financial support for students who achieve excellent academic results.
Requirements:
- Active full-time student status
- Minimum of 23 credits completed in courses included in the scholarship average
- Minimum GPA of 3.80
- Not having exceeded the eligibility period assigned to the program duration
How it is calculated:
The scholarship amount is determined based on ranking, which is calculated from the academic average and completed credits.
Scientific Scholarship
The scientific scholarship supports students who excel in research and academic activities.
Requirements:
- Active student status
- Proof of scientific activity (TDK paper, publication, research project)
- Supervisor's supporting statement
- Commitment to continue research work
Application:
Applications can be submitted each semester. Required documents include a research plan, supervisor's recommendation, and presentation of previous scientific achievements.
Important information:
The scholarship aims to support and encourage student research activities. Participation in TDK competitions, publications, and active involvement in research projects are particularly advantageous.
Regular Social Scholarship
Regular social scholarship supports students in difficult financial situations.
Requirements:
- Active student status
- Proof of social need
- Submission of income and property statement
- Not having exceeded the eligibility period assigned to the program duration
Application:
Applications for regular social scholarship can be submitted each semester by the specified deadlines. Required documents must be submitted through the student portal.
Extraordinary Social Scholarship
Extraordinary social scholarship provides assistance in unexpected, exceptional life situations.
Requirements:
- Unexpected, exceptional life situation (e.g., death of family member, serious illness, natural disaster)
- Active student status
- Documentation of the extraordinary event
- Justification in the application
Application:
Applications for extraordinary social scholarship can be submitted at any time after the event occurs. Applications are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
Public Affairs Scholarship
Public affairs scholarship recognizes and supports students who actively participate in university public life.
Requirements:
- Active student status
- Regular, active participation in university public life (Student Union, residential college work, university organizations, etc.)
- Proof of minimum monthly time commitment
- Documentation of public affairs activities
Application process:
Applications for public affairs scholarship can be submitted each semester. The application must detail the public affairs activities, work performed, and time commitment. Applications are evaluated by a committee.

The purpose of the public affairs scholarship is to recognize active participation in building the university community. The scholarship amount may vary depending on the quantity and quality of work performed.

When are you eligible for academic scholarship?
If you are a full-time student with active student status and have not exceeded the eligibility period assigned to your program duration. The basic requirement is to complete at least 23 credits in the previous active semester from courses included in the scholarship average, and your academic average must reach 3.80.

Dormitories
Corvinus dormitories
First-year students of the University begin their dormitory life in this dormitory. Dormitory students are accommodated in three-bed rooms on five floors, which also include an anteroom, a bathroom with hot and cold water, a wardrobe and a refrigerator.

Accommodation is mostly provided in double rooms in the two seven-story dormitory wings. Entertainment is provided by the Africafe club, bar and nightclub in the basement of the dormitory.

The six-story building has rooms with 2, 3 or 4 beds. Most of the rooms are designed in such a way that two rooms have a common water block (washbasin, shower, toilet).
